SRWRA is a leader in delivering innovative and sustainable waste management solutions for Southern Adelaide communities and the environment.
We continually strive to improve and increase the diversity of materials accepted at our facilities and maximise waste diversion, re-use, recycling and recovery opportunities prior to landfill disposal.
We do this by building effective relationships with our constituent councils, joint venture partners, stakeholders and customers, capitalising on and promoting the circular economy.
Our efforts and sustainable practices have been recognised on a national level, with the Southern Materials Recycling Facility (SRMF) receiving the Society of Chemical Industry's 2023 Plant of the Year Award, as well as the Outstanding Facility Award at the 2022 Waste Innovation and Recycling Awards. The SMRF was also featured on Season 3 of the ‘War on Waste’ ABC Series.
